day 115 - "I got a plan"

This one cracks me up.. I guess because it rings so true.

One parting thought that might relate-- I recently heard (on the radio) how most people spend THE BULK of their 'leisure time' watching TV. It bothered me, really bothered me,.. wouldn't leave my head. Then I thought.. it's perhaps because (I know) it's sooooo easy to find yourself doing-- but SUCH A WASTE (I once read somewhere that your mental state while watching TV is just one *blip* above being in a coma). Then,.. a day or two later it dawned on me-- Nobody gets famous by watching TV. Turn it off,.. then slowly back away... don't look back-- just go do something,.. anything else-- even if it's NOTHING!

You can thank me later,

day 114 - You got peanut butter on my chocolate!

Much creativity is a lot like the old Reese's Peanut Butter Cups advertising campaign, "You got peanut butter on my chocolate!"

It's often about taking common things and combining them in a new, useful, and uncommon way. Like Eric Austin does here..

Nicely done!

day 113 - Pray to wind up behind this guy if/when you're stuck in LA traffic!

I swear,.. creativity IS everywhere. Like this... if I ever get stuck in LA traffic I hope I'm behind this truck!
(Or would that be 'When' I get stuck in LA traffic-- they are one and the same aren't they?)

You can find out more by visiting Joel Kyack's, Superclogger project here.

day 112 / I wish I would have thought of THIS!!!

I just think this is TOO COOL not to share!
What a great way to combine simple graphics with a story in order to make the content more engaging and memorable.

The only thing I wish was that I thought of it first ; )

Enjoy-

Why him? (day 111)

So,.. believe it or not,.. the guy who did this piece did become quite famous,.. yes as an artist. Any I can't help but wonder.. 'Why him?' Why does he get to be famous... when practically any one of us certainly has this level of ability?

But much to his credit he did say this,..
"Every child is an artist. The problem is to remain an artist once we grow up."

I guess my point in all this is just to say-- why in the heck would anyone hesitate to be creative? It's not like we're all planning to have a simple drawing like this (which to me looks much like a kids drawing.. but then again, there's the beauty in it) sell for tens of thousands of dollar$,.. as this one was listed when I snapped this picture.

Come to think of it-- much of his work was simple and fairly crude-- no?

Perhaps I should have said he was an infamous artist? You've probably guessed by now the artwork shown here is by our old friend Pablo (Picasso).
